Supervision I have regular individual and group supervision with an experienced Coaching Supervisor and regular personal therapy to maintain a skilled, ethical and healthy practice.
Professional Development As a professional Coach I continually seek learning experiences to maintain, improve and broaden my competence, knowledge and skills, ensuring I can practise safely, effectively and legally within an evolving scope of practice.
Regulation I have chosen to be regulated by the Association of Coaching and (AC) and as a registered member I abide by their extensive Ethical Framework. My training is accredited by the AC.
My Practice & Regulation
Throughout my life I have expereienced highs, lows, and all the in between moments just like you may have.
Over the years I have used Coaching, Therapies and made simple lifestyle changes which in turn have helped me to process my own feelings, become much more aware of myself and make sense of what is going on in my internal and external worlds as well as feeling fitter calmer healthier and much more in control of my life.
Therapies have also enabled me to conquer my own barriers and continue the journey to fullfilling my own potential and now I feel passionately about helping others to do the same. It has also given me an acute understanding of myself, and other people, although I know I dont have all the answers, you have those within you and together we can hopefully find them.
My approach is holistic in style, looking at factors such as lifestyle changes, and the beneifits of these, your own free will, authenticity, creativity, identity, responsibility, human needs, and human potential.
Intuitively Person Centered, I naturally and warmly focus on what you bring and the ways in which you perceive yourself consciously, unconsciously and intuitively. The most successful coaching relationship will only ever come about when there is unconditional positive regard, congruency and empathy (Carl rogers Core Conditions) therefore you are the most important person in our coaching sessions and my main focus will only be to help you to get to where you want to be.
Coaching is support, guidance, help, encouragement and it is solution focused. It happens in a safe, non-judgemental environment where together, in a strong safe theraputic relationship, we explore your thoughts, feelings, ideas, dreams and goals, if you are willing find a new self awareness which is the catalyst to change, growth & achievement.
I integrate my approach with other theories and draw upon my 20 years+ experience and knowledge as a fitness and wellness practitioner, holistic therapist, teacher & mentor using simple questioning, listening, reframing techniques, visualisation techniques and practical solutions - one step at a time. We look at your best self and your anti-self (the traits about yourself you arn't so keen on) and all of your other personality traits. Mindfullness and other relaxation techniques may also used if required and can also be included in self care.
I use the GROW method of coaching as a starting point and I am passionate about the eight dimensions of wellness with which I can help you to find balance in all areas of your life. The eight dimensions of wellness is the full integration of states of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This model includes social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, intellectual and physical wellness. Each of these eight dimensions act and interact in a way that contributes to our own quality of life.
Ultimately, I work with you to establish an approach that you feel works for you.

I have worked providing emotional support for my many clients over the last 10 years as well as working with them to establish wellbeing in their lives. I have also worked alongside my students for the last 5 years supporting, mentoring and positively encouriging them to acheive their goals.
I am also involved with other local charities, working with vunerable 16-25 year olds who need extra support during difficult times in their life, this is with a local charity called Young Devon, and as a facilitator for the Womens Wellbeing Club in Paignton. I thrive meeting new people, getting out in the community and from knowing that I may have helped to make a difference in someone else's life. I relish a challenge and something I can get my teeth stuck into, so no job is to big or small!
I have experience working with children and adults on the autistic spectrum (ASC), including all related issues. I have family members with ASC so I am fully aware of the difficulties this can cause and the communication issues which can arise and be difficult to negotiate a path through.
In these cases we focus very much on you finding your identity, self care, communication stratigies and all other positive solutions. In many cases simple and effective action is key and this can mean putting in place some simple things you can do for yourself and looking at different ways of raising awareness and improving communication.
Coaching helps us to step back, see the big picture, grow and develop your own skills, coaching helps us to better understand our issues, become more aware of our perceptions, beliefs, habits, attitudes, behaviors, competencies, values and our identity.
