Together I can help you to find a way forward
Stress affects us all. You may notice symptoms of stress when disciplining your kids, during busy times at work, when managing your finances, or when coping with a challenging relationship. Stress is everywhere. And while a little stress is OK - too much stress can wear you down and make you sick, both mentally and physically. Generally when we experience pain its our bodies way of telling us we need to stop or we've experienced some sort of trauma. Its important to listen to these signs because if we don't our mental and emotional strain will manifest in the body in some form of desease or illness.
The first step to controlling stress is to know the symptoms. But recognising stress symptoms may be harder than you think. Most of us are so used to being stressed, we often don't know we are stressed until we are at the breaking point.
Stress management Coaching, specifically looks at the causes of the stress and the underlying issues. Lead by you, together we can make the necessary lifestyle changes needed to help you to manage your stress more effectively and become calm, healthy and happy.
Together and if you are in agreement we can look at the following positive interventions to correct the balance;
Establishing a positive mindset/re-wiring the brain/overcoming negative thought patterns How to accept that there are events that you cannot control. How to be assertive instead of aggressive. Assert your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive. (empowered vs disempowered) How to learn and practice relaxation techniques like meditation, yoga, or tai-chi. How to exercise regularly. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit. How to eat healthy, well-balanced meals. How to learn to manage your time more effectively. How to set limits appropriately and learn to say no to requests that would create excessive stress in your life. How to take time for hobbies, interests, and relaxation. How to get enough rest and sleep. Your body needs time to recover from stressful events. How not to rely on alcohol, drugs, or compulsive behaviours to reduce stress. How to seek out social support and connect. Spend enough time with those you enjoy.
You don't have to suffer in silence - with the right help, there is plenty you can do, and small changes to thought patterns and lifestyle can make a big impact on your life, get in touch today and we can make a start.......
