What is Coaching?
A purposeful conversation that supports and inspires you.
Coaching helps us to clarify thought processes, resolve problems, reach agreements and commit to actions. It can be the difference between achieving your desired goals or not, and can be life changing.
It is becoming unstuck and keeping momentum going which is key to achieving your goals and feeling better about yourself.
Life coaching is more than inspiring you to live the life you want, it’s even better than that. Sometimes your best experiences of life comes from facing up to living through the parts that you really don’t want and understanding the lessons within them. Coaching helps you to tap into all your potential and strengthens you.
Life coaching can help you form the questions that lead to answers that are right for you, which is more empowering and achievable than using someone else’s answers.
The answers aren’t out there – you already have them within you and coaching can show you how and where to find them.
How I work:
I will work along side you, being led by you, and you choose the direction we will go in. I will ask questions, gently challenging you and listening in a safe and therapeutic way.
I will discuss and suggest options but essentially coaching facilitates your own thought processes and your own self directed learning..
You already have everything that you need to get started on the process of changing your life. The gifts that you may discover on your coaching journey are ones that you already have, although you may not yet recognise them. These gifts fall into these main areas:
Uniqueness: No one but you is so well equipped to create the life you want.
Self Awareness: Consider what you need to live a whole and full life.
Self Care: You can put yourself first, you are allowed to.
Inner Resources: You are infinitely resourceful. You’re capable of more than you usually achieve.
Autonomy: Allow yourself to take control of your life and you get even better results. You have choice and freewill. Even at times when you feel a little trapped by circumstances, you can take responsibility for your own attitude towards those barriers. You can trust your senses and tap into what helps you make the right choices in the future.

Intuitively Person Centred, I naturally and warmly focus on what you bring and the ways in which you perceive yourself consciously, unconsciously and intuitively. The most successful coaching relationship will only ever come about when there is unconditional positive regard, congruency and empathy (Carl rogers Core Conditions) therefore you are the most important person in our coaching sessions and my main focus will only be to help you to get to where you want to be.
I integrate my approach with my experience, other theories and techniques and draw upon my 20 years+ experience and knowledge as a person centred, fitness and wellness practitioner, business woman, teacher & mentor using simple questioning, listening, reframing techniques, visualisation techniques and practical solutions - one step at a time. We can look at your best self and your anti-self (the traits about yourself you are not so keen on) and all of your other personality traits.
I use the EXCITE, SMART, and GROW methods of coaching as a starting point and I am passionate about the eight dimensions of wellness. The eight dimensions of wellness is the full integration of states of physical, mental, and spiritual well-being. This model includes social, emotional, spiritual, environmental, occupational, intellectual and physical wellness. Each of these eight dimensions act and interact in a way that contributes to our own quality of life. This means we look at your life holistically, as a whole.
Change .... Coaching can be enlightening and liberating. Exploring the origins of and reasons for negative thoughts, emotions and feelings can lead to a deeper understanding, acceptance, forming new perspectives and developing new beliefs. These new ways of being & thinking can lead to other positive changes in your life (Transformational Coaching).
I will work with you and support you so that you can find a way to make your goals seem possible and acheivable, and to help you find the solutions you are seeking.
